Dear Families,
As winter approaches and the temperatures continue to drop, we want to remind everyone to ensure that children are dressed appropriately for the colder weather. We do continue to hold outdoor recess as long as it is not extremely cold or wet, so it’s important for students to come to school prepared with warm coats, hats, gloves, and other winter gear.
We truly appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep the kids comfortable and ready to enjoy their time outdoors. Please note that if your child needs to be excused from outdoor recess, a doctor’s note will be required.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and as always, we appreciate your support!
Warm regards,
Stephen Geraci

On November 15, we are saying thank you to our Burnham District 154.5 School Board members. School board members are volunteers who serve as advocates striving for quality education opportunities for every student. Our board members take on this responsibility not for a paycheck but for their commitment to our community and its children. Our board members spend multiple hours each month on district work, attending meetings, and performing other responsibilities most will never hear or read about.
I want to personally thank all seven Burnham 154.5 School Board members for their service to the district, our students, and the Burnham community. Let’s all give them the recognition they have earned. You can send a group email to all school board members at board@d1545.org or you can message them individually at their Burnham School email addresses.
