Dear Parent/guardian,

    The Illinois Department of Public Health mandates that children at a specific age and grade levels receive vision and hearing screening from a certified technician or nurse. The children in these categories are required by law to be screened: Pre-K through 3rd grade, 8th grade, students new to the district, students specifically referred by a teacher, and students receiving special education services. Burnham school will be providing vision and hearing screening services for those specified students. These screenings will be performed at the school on March 25th, 2022. If the screening technician determines that your child may have a vision or hearing problem that needs further evaluation, you will receive a notification letter in the mail regarding the next steps and recommendations.
