3rd Grade

Mrs. A. Stachelski - Teacher
My name is Angie Stachelski, and I am the 3rd grade teacher at Burnham School. I joined the Burnham family in 1994 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade upon arriving at Burnham School. I taught 6th grade until 2012 when I made a grade change down to 3rd grade, and I absolutely love it!!
I have been married to my husband Dave, a Burnham School graduate, since 2000. We live in Lansing with our daughter, Payton, and our son, Jake. I enjoy reading, shopping, cooking and exercising. What I really enjoy the most is spending time with my family and friends!
I love teaching and helping my students learn new things daily. We work hard each and every day. It is my goal that your child leaves each day smarter than when they entered! We work hard and make each minute count! We also work on more than just reading and math. We work on learning good study habits, appropriate classroom behavior and individual responsibility too! I try to help each student bring out their BEST, academically, as well as, on a personal level.
My classroom is always open to parents who want to stop by to observe or just to say hi! I think having an "open door" policy is the most important thing that we can have to achieve the home-to-school connection.
Communication is key to student achievement. You can always reach me at the school--708-862-8636. I will return your call as soon as I am able to. Just leave a message with the office.
You can also reach me at my school email address--

I check it daily so you can expect a response with 24 hours.
I am looking forward to a great and productive school year with your child. I am very proud to be a part of the Burnham family. I always say Burnham School is "the little school with a BIG heart". That being said, I will put my HEART into making this year one that you and your child will be proud of!
